I love this record but listening to it now I don't think a happy well-adjusted person could enjoy or relate to it. I can see why Morrissey and The Smiths are a passing phase for so many people.

why. i think it kinda a more objective record more easily relatable because of songs about the moore murders that everyone knew about and being on the dole etc. especially when compared to later songs that were mpore about just his own feelings experiences
