Quality of Production and Musicianship on Smiths Recordings

The first album is my favourite, but I do admit to preferring some of the versions on Hatful of Hollow, with the exception of Still Ill and You've Got Everything Now. As for Mike's drumming, I've never had any problem with it and I personally think Morrissey's opinion is probably tainted by his...

Sandie Shaw on being pals with Morrissey in Metro

Well it would explain a lot, wouldn't it. :) But in all seriousness, it can happen, between human beings, not just starfish.

Sandie Shaw on being pals with Morrissey in Metro

The original comment was "having romantic relationships with men does not definitively make a person gay," I was merely just trying to get across the ways in which that it was possible; asexuality is one of those reasons. And like I also said, even friendships do contain some level of romance...

Sandie Shaw on being pals with Morrissey in Metro

Clearly you have never heard of asexuality then. I'm not saying that Morrissey is, he's made that clear himself, but there are people out there (myself included) who have romantic relationships which are completely platonic. Also, romance doesn't always have to be sexual; there is a even a...

Sandie Shaw on being pals with Morrissey in Metro

I think it's more to do with sexual relationships when it comes sexuality rather than romantic ones. You can have a romantic attraction or admiration for someone of any gender, but it doesn't mean that you are necessarily sexually attracted to them.

Article: Daily Star - Morrissey and Victoria Wood; "Victoria Wood's Nice Cup Of Tea" to air (Apr. 10

Re: Article: Daily Star - Morrissey and Victoria Wood; "Victoria Wood's Nice Cup Of T Just because he no longer has a point or any relevance to your life, don't have the arrogance to assume he has no purpose in other peoples lives.

Worst Album Cut From Each Album

Completely agree with you there; the first time I listened to Vauxhall, Lifeguard was one of the tracks that really stood out for me. It's akin to Jack The Ripper, which is funnily enough a fan favourite. Kind of wish there were more of these quirky little tracks around.

Peter Hook talks about The Smiths and Morrissey

The problem with simple melodies is that they tend to tire a lot easily than something more complicated. Having said that, overblown, complicated music can be too abstract to enjoy, but Marr's playing was never really overblown either. The best kind of riffs I would say are the subtle ones...

    Remastered "Kill Uncle" cover?

I agree. They should leave the albums as they are and not tamper with anything. If they want to make improvements, make a new an stronger album. I don't really have a problem with remastering but when they add and swap tracks its kind of annoying and really pointless. Having said that I did...

David & Victoria Beckham 'Furious Over Morrissey Rant'

What I find funny is that normally whenever Morrissey is bemoaned in the media for complaining or insulting; if you read the comments they are all against him. This time it seems to be the other way around. It seems that people really don't like David and Victoria. To be honest, I aren't much...

    Morrissey - Ideal Setlist

Even though I've not been to that many Morrissey concerts, I wish he'd vary his setlists a lot more than he does. Also, I know he's big on vegeterianism and that's the reason he plays Meat is Murder nearly every concert, but surely he has to realise that people quickly become intolerant if a...

Morrissey interview, 2 songs on 3 News - New Zealand TV

The royal family shouldn't be defended because they released a statement expressing their concern for the nurse prior to her death and deep sadness after her death. If they had been so concerned about her, why didn't they intervine and tell the press and management to stop harassing her, which...

Morrissey interview, 2 songs on 3 News - New Zealand TV

I think the fact that Morrissey didn't even mention hyperemesis gravidarum suggested that he didn't actually know why Kate was in hospital, which was why he asked that same question in the interview (duh). I think his comments about leaving England because of the royals were overly dramatic and...

Libertines call Morrissey "...an absolute prick." - Entertainmentwise.com

Like I put on the other thread, The New York Dolls are one of Morrissey's favourite bands. This Gary Powell was not an origional member so Morrissey isn't really going to be interested in meeting him. It's like if I were to meet Morrissey and Jesse Tobias were stood next to him; I probably...

Libertines call Morrissey "...an absolute prick." - Entertainmentwise.com

Clearly Powell doesn't get that Morrissey is a huge New York Dolls fan. Of course he's going to give more attention and want to speak to the likes of David Johansan, an origional member of the band he loved in his youth rather than some arrogant drummer who expects the same level of attention...
