Where can I read that thesis? It sounds very interesting, and most likely free, seeing as I don't want to buy 'The Pageant of his Bleeding Heart' just yet.
There have been a few programs, biopics so to speak, that have made me feel sick. Like Bob Geldof's. However, one on Morrissey and Marr would be wonderful to watch.

The thing about holding the hair up - it's definitely true that spraying the pomade lasts for only a short while. If you use heat, a curling brush, and gel rather than pomade, you can spray it and it will stay.
Thing is, you have to spray the 'pomp' bit for about 4...
