I'm 24.
I have a work colleague whos in her 50s who thinks he's ''still gorgeous'', and started singing This Charming Man when I told her I'd be going to see him.
And, a man who I think is in his early 60s, who volunteers with me in a charity shop, listened to the whole of 'The Very Best Of...
I saw this too. I presumed it was just coincidence. Surely they wouldn't (i hope) be so crass as to slip song references in when the stories about a little boy dying.
Re: on radio2 "album of the week" which song do you think came across as radio friend
Were they really? All of them? Oh well, thats my memory for you  :D
Re: on radio2 "album of the week" which song do you think came across as radio friend
I think both of the songs I heard were in the early afternoon, can't remember precisely when. :)
Re: on radio2 "album of the week" which song do you think came across as radio friend
I didn't realise it was album of the week :)
Though, I heard them play THPGU (and wondered why, though it makes sense now), and When Last I Spoke To Carol. It was a nice surprise hearing Carol on the radio...
I got to know of Morrissey with the You Are The Quarry singles. The first album I knew was coming out, and I looked forward to was Ringleader.
I worked in a supermarket at the time, and they sold some CDs there (mostly new releases). I bought it on the day it was released, on my lunch-break...
I was thinking the same. At the moment, YOR is still new and a novelty, and I'm playing it constantly. After a while, it'll be easier to compare it to other albums, and think about how I rank it. :)
Re: Morrissey on The One Show tonight at 7pm!!!
I would've missed it too. I'd totally forgotten that he was meant to be on it at some point. And i can't say its regular viewing for me, but i'll make an exception for moz.. ;)
I'm watching online..might be better than TV...
Do you have the 7'' vinyl Paris single? This was the only one with it as far as I'm aware.
Me neither. The baby has big beautiful eyes in that pic :sweet: :)
I also resisted temptation, and have bought it today. Really glad I waited :)
Its off-topic, but I was impressed by HMV. They had it in 3 different areas of the shop. (one of which was directly in front of you when you entered the shop. Couldn't miss it. :thumb: )
One of the CDs I was going to buy was the same. Luckily I checked them before I left the shop. (originally to check they had the right CDs in, but off course, not being able to get the CD out at all... )
I'm not sure about the standard release, but the 'Special Edition' is in cardboard. :)...
I think it must have been before 8.30, i'm afraid, as the interview was broadcast in a few seperate bits, the last of which finished before 8.45...i think.
The name is shame, and you better not wear it out :guitar:
Sorry I'm having Green Day flashbacks now. Mozs show on Radio 2 has proved too much excitement for one day  :D
It was great hearing the new stuff, but, apart from that, Seasick and This Charming Man are my major highlights. On opposite ends of the wonderful spectrum... :)
And I Keep Mine Hidden has to be mentioned for its shock value :D
Harrogates HMVs singles section is miniscule. The Paris singles, in its 3 formats, made up over half of its singles stock
Not that I mind :thumb:
