    Shakespear's Sister - proof sleeve faint lilac/purple

Re: Shakespear's Sister - Proof Sleeve. Faint Lilac/Purple 20+ years ago a mate bought this sleeve thinking it was rare... Until I showed him my standard record... Dave

    Smiths Strangeways green font poster

I have both posters - I think the scans on Vulgar Picture are mine, most of the posters are - I don't buy the colour degradation arguement for the Strangeways colours (possibly for Girlfriend in a Coma, but not for Strangeways). No idea how many green ones there are / were, but they are as rare...

    Why collect Smiths test pressings?

You should spend some time reading the collector's appendix at Passions Just like mine. Some test pressings are different edits or have different b sides, but most are the same as the final release. Some test pressings never made it into final release. Don't make the mistake of thinking that...

"Meat Is Murder" 7" test press on eBay

At £720 with still 3 days to go it's already more expensive than other fairly recent sales http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?pagenum=1&searchtext=meat+is+murder&incldescr=&sortord=dprice&thumbs=&currsel= Dave

    Fake promo poster

Re: I was framing / replacing some of my posters last week and also noticed that Bigmouth was smaller than some of the others - shorter and narrower I think - I didn't frame it in the end, waiting to buy some coloured backing paper for it. It's worth noting that many of the posters vary...

    Recent prices on ebay?

    Question about Australian 'Ask' 7"

IR is right, again from the PJLM link: ""Ask" was first released in Australia in late 1986 on 7" only, without artwork (it was slipped inside a generic record company sleeve) just like the "Panic" single before it. After becoming the second major hit for the Smiths in that country (the first...

    Question about Australian 'Ask' 7"

I don't think it was released without a picture sleeve, although (according to Passions Just Like Mine, so it must be true) for promotional purposes the 7" single was distributed in stock record company sleeve. You could have a promo record, or it could be that somewhere in the past your record...

"Kill Uncle" reissue CD promo; review in The Mouth Magazine

I asked in the shop the other day if they had any to be told that they didn't. So, either just in, or greedy b*stards witing to see how much they go for online before selling on. Dave

    looking for a collecors list

At some stage in the past... http://tour.morrissey-solo.com/threads/75723-Morrissey-Complete-Discography-E-book someone recreated PJLM as a PDF / e reader (with permission from Stephane) I think this is what you need... To try to get it all together as an Excel worksheet wouldn't be practical -...

    looking for a collecors list

Not really sure what you are after Mayo - but will this do? http://www.sendspace.com/file/7o9j8o Using the info still available via http://web.archive.org/web/20110719052039/http://passionsjustlikemine.com/ I have copied and pasted the lists of releases for The Smiths and Morrissey into an...

"Let Me Kiss You" orange vinyl

Mikael gave an informed and detailed reply whereas you just posted an image saying "it's faaaaaaaakkkkkkkeeeeeee". Both are true but I know which reply holds more weight within those who frequent collector's corner. Welcome back Mikael, Long time no see, hope all is well. Dave

    Passions Just Like Mine RIP

Re: Passions Just Like Mine RIP - not 'The lunatics, it seems, run the whole asylum.' To hear anyone slag off Stephane or PJLM for laziness or lack of commitment is a nonsense, but to hear it from someone who has an apparent connection with the running of this site is an embarrassment to the...

    Passions Just Like Mine RIP

Re: Passions Just Like Mine RIP - not I'm glad to hear that life is treating you well since you broke free from pjlm, Stephane. It is a shame that your first posts on solo for many months have been treated with such venom - it wasn't called for. Personally, I haven't been on the wiki since...

    Passions Just Like Mine RIP

Re: Passions Just Like Mine RIP On page one of this thread there is a link to an archive site - some, but not all of the PJLM info is still available http://web.archive.org/web/20110719052039/http://passionsjustlikemine.com/ Although hardly any of the collectors appendix is included. It would...

Meat is Murder Rough Trade promo poster value

The album posters are not worth as much as the singles as more were produced - I'd say they are worth anywhere between £30 and £50 Dave
