    Dub Reggae

If your after stuff that influenced The Clash's Dub sound, check out Mikey Dread, Big Youth and Tapie Zukie. The Clash's Sandinista Album is littered with great dub reggae. JIM

The Good, the Bad and the Queen Gig

Im rather bias towards this record in respect to my adoration of the great Paul Simonon. Its a rather atmospheric piece, drawing influence from the London Albarn loves so much and the grime of Old England. Its quite a dark record often lightened in place by some synth and the morose nature...

The Good, the Bad and the Queen Gig

Was anyone at The Good, The Bad and the Queen show last night in Motherwell Civic?? (where ol' Moz played in 95). Superb show!! The show got off to quite an interesting start with a victorian vaudeville theme with jugglers, a victorian drinking a can of special brew (mmmm....) and some...

    The Long Blondes

Any thoughts on the wonderfully glamarous and exciting bastardisation of 60s girl group glam and opulent filth of the 70s channeled into this exciting band?? JIM

The Good, the bad and the Queen

Any thoughts of this band - the coming together of Damon Albarn, the Clash' Paul Simonon and The Verves Simon Tong. Not bad methinks. JIM

Bands you listen to most often

I LOVE the Raveonettes....love that vintage sound. Saw them a couple of years ago live in Edinburgh - superb gig. After the show they did a small dj set and played a handful of songs and the Sharon Foo played hand and glove - we had a moment there. JIM

    Arctic Monkeys

I have listened to the album on countless occassions, seen them live - given them every opportunity as I would any new band, but they don't cut it. I could think of 100 better new bands more deserving of the success they have. JIM
