I love Alain, and respect his work, but, without wanting to sound mean, who really cares about yet another musician changing on the carousel that stands behind that guy from the Smiths when he does live shows? Us weird lot on this sordid grief hole of a website care, but the mainstream media don't.
Having said that all that, I really liked Deano in terms of presentation and how he played. He was/is very unpopular here and in that Mozipedia book by Goddard, never understood why.

Got to feel sorry for a bloke who lasts one year and is replaced. I can't say I went to any gigs at the time, far too before my time, but listening to boots of varying recording quality the drums do sound a bit all over the stop.
Saw Doll and the Kicks play Ruby Lounge in Manchester, around the same time as their Moz support slot I think. Morrissey's nephew was stood near me in the audience. Fun times

the weird thing about Morrissey is that he's never really done an ACOUSTIC set in any way. There has been odd flashes - stuff like Cosmic Dancer and such, but his band have never done an unplugged sort of thing. Pretty much any artist of note I can think of has acoustic versions of songs, why...
