Chrissy Iley made this interview a bit confusing because she must have interviewed him around the 11th to the 15th of November, because he was in Arizona by the 16th, but she adds quotes by him in the printed interview that he said in another one (spiegel) that wasn't released until the 17th...
Does he actually not like it? That's a shame. Do you know when he said that, because it's one of my favourite early Smiths' songs? And I agree that it would sound great with the band! :)
If I can pick one from each album, these are my choices:

Meat Is Murder- Nowhere Fast
The Queen Is Dead- Cemetary Gates
Strangeways- Paint A Vulgar Picture
Viva Hate- The Ordinary Boys
Kill Uncle- Mute Witness
Your Arsenal- Seasick, Yet Still Docked...

Very interesting! I'm quite excited to hear "Who Will Protect Us From The Police?" since the reviewer compared it "Hopelessness" by Anohni, which I absolutely adore.
Just heard it on radio 6 and it sounds pretty good. It's certainly not at all how I expected it to sound, but I'm not complaining! It'll probably grow on me even more with a few more listens, but so far I really like it and there are some interesting lyrics :)
