Morrissey interview in The Sunday Times Magazine 26th Nov. 2017

Chrissy Iley made this interview a bit confusing because she must have interviewed him around the 11th to the 15th of November, because he was in Arizona by the 16th, but she adds quotes by him in the printed interview that he said in another one (spiegel) that wasn't released until the 17th...

    What songs should return?

Does he actually not like it? That's a shame. Do you know when he said that, because it's one of my favourite early Smiths' songs? And I agree that it would sound great with the band! :)

"Shaven cave" and "scatter glue"? Are these just bad lyrics or do they mean something?

Interpretations for "shaven cave" are much more ambiguous and one, once again, put it in context: "I have been brave/ Deep in every shaven cave/ But none were you". As the song deals with being isolated and plays on the word "home", metaphorically asking whether true comfort and happiness is...

"Shaven cave" and "scatter glue"? Are these just bad lyrics or do they mean something?

The lyric is "scatter gloom", and to analyze it, one must put it in perspective of the song's content, and the lyrical context prior to this snippet. The lyric to the stanza is as follows: "I carry out the powerful vulgarian view/ I scatter gloom/ do as I say or I'll scatter you". As the...

Don't forget that he also praised George Galloway and called Jeremy Corbyn "sane" and "intelligent" :)

Bonus tracks for Low in High School

Joe Chiccarelli (the producer) said in an interview from about a month ago that there was something like 20 songs recorded for the album (there's an older thread about this), so I hope they do get released eventually as bonus tracks.

"Low In High School" review by Kevin Holtmann - Plattentests.de (German, 7/10)

Very interesting! I'm quite excited to hear "Who Will Protect Us From The Police?" since the reviewer compared it "Hopelessness" by Anohni, which I absolutely adore.

In regards to looks, I would have to say the Viva Hate era. Specifically during the Wolverhampton performance in 1988 :)

Very interesting comments about the title of the album. That wasn't the significance I expected lol. If only they asked more questions.....

Is there a way to watch the video footage live if you don't live in the UK?

"Spent The Day In Bed" - new single debuts on BBC Radio 2 / The Chris Evans Show (Sep. 19)

Just heard it on radio 6 and it sounds pretty good. It's certainly not at all how I expected it to sound, but I'm not complaining! It'll probably grow on me even more with a few more listens, but so far I really like it and there are some interesting lyrics :)

    Never seen Morrissey live

Yeah, I think that may actually be the perfect song to end with IMO. It's also one of my favourites :)
