Re: Butcher Boy * New album *
Scottish Pop fans, at long last! August 29, 2011 release date.
Some nice things about the album are said here:

Love at first listen!
I didn't realize it was a cover of a 60's French pop song, which makes sense to me now. A perfect Valentine song. :)
This band will be touring with British Sea Power in the States beginning in March.
I'm certain I read that they'll have to shop for a new label. Hope that doesn't delay the record for too long. Meanwhile I'm really loving 'Every Other Saturday'…
Thanks for the info!
Open Season still remains my favorite.
Motorways, hated is a strong word. It's a different record yes, but what was there to actually hate, that it doesn't completely raawwwk? You might get more of that from DYLRM, their 3rd. Better yet, try the new Zeus EP. Hm, BSP are an acquired taste. I'm...
Makes you wonder if BSP will regret it not being on there, everyone seems to be scratching their heads over this, it's almost too obvious. But I'm glad it's on the EP, which I think is as strong as the album, though comparatively shorter. Then again, I've only listened to the album a couple of...
More likely he was asking who is Josef K.

Incidentally, I found some good tracks on Paul Haig's recent release "Relive", so thanks for this thread, speedfreaks ball. Might have to work my way back through his (and the band's) back catalog now.
They've been recording their 3rd album, at long last!
recording sessions
Lots of recording updates and videos posted on their twitter page (ButcherBoyMusic).
Any other info anyone? (Reactordie?)
Yes!
Waiting for both VD and Zeus records to arrive. I got to listen to the full album stream and am really anticipating it. I've only recently gotten to really love the Zeus EP as a whole--some songs I loved instantly, some had to grow on me. So VD as a whole may be a grower as well. I'm...
Yes, thank you! I guess you could only get this track with the bundle? I never checked since I didn't want anything other than the cd. And you can't always rely on wiki, but on there it states the song was a hidden track on the cd. Which it's not, so again thank you.
Dittsche, that'd be...
The Boat People - You Are Adored
Nothing else of theirs has gottem my attention like this song. lyrics + bass line!

I unsubscribed to this newsletter months ago (regretting this already), so I can't help you now, but for future reference they regularly put out music comps, always nature-oriented. Sometime contributor Roy Wilkinson is elder brother of...

I should have been more clear in the comparison (I clearly enjoyed your review). Folly's review was quite harsh, but I guess it did come down the the sound at what is apparently one of the worst venues in Manchester!
One of the few bands I regularly follow, I actually found another review (Folly something or other) from which you commented and referenced your review (which was more favorable btw!)
So Charlie, you still have your kidney intact? :(
