i quequed at the st annes square box office, last time. I arrived at 6.30am and The touts were there in force. However the kids are left alone for long periods- and they disappear to mc donalds when it opens. So do what i did jump them (i mean the queque) - pretend you know someone at the front...
I'm pretty pleased with the new 'gapless' technology on itunes 7. At last i can listen to rubber ring and asleep the way they were intended to be heard. makes the live albums sound much better also....
Yes, it was very sad. On monday night, i read the tributes and cards left at the Bury interchange- really touching.
I hadn't even associated it with the song a good spot by yourself...
Spirit of eden is just fantastic. I read that they had always wanted to sound like 'colour of spring/ spirit of eden' , but being short of funds they were limited to the kind of synths they had. Thats why the earlier stuff sounded like duran, due to the success of dum dum girl etc- the record...
When i heard that this was on last night- i quickly signed on to Moz-solo to let you know. but you were offline. I'm glad you heard it and even more glad that you uploaded it!!
Just waiting for my tickets- i'm going to see them in liverpool in july!!!!
I've gone for will never marry, but there are too many songs on your list that still give me goose bumps. for me emotionally, this was Moz's best set of b-sides.
I have to agree. Saw them when i saw Duran duran (my wife is a fan) and they were vile. Instead of knocking that guys hat off - let me decapitate him first.
I was quite excited about talk of a new album, but it turns out that it was a reissue of grab that gun on their new label. They sing a new song live, and let the bells ring is not available on cd, plus they have written another song called 'only in the night'- so they have new material.
Let the bells ring- is their latest single (or was in Canada). You could only purchase it as a 7" if you caught them on tour or purchased direct from their label. In the Uk Brother was released about 1 month ago as a single.
Don't know whether you have ever seen his local cooking programme. But 3 weeks ago(around the time of the bridgewater) on his show he went to a goose farm near northwich. As he walked with the lady farmer in the idyllic grounds surrounded by herds of geese, he asked why the geese didn't fly...
Yes they are quite excellent- been to see them a couple of times. They aren't so good live- mainly because i think they are very shy and they look horrified to have an audience.
My favourite is love, love, love.
you were running with a broken ankle?!!?
Ouch! reminds me of Kenny Daglish playing in the world cup with a broken leg and not even knowing. those scots are hard men.
