From J A, a scan of Morrissey at the Coachella festival which appeared in MeanStreet, a free music magazine from Orange County, CA.

MORRISSEY delivers a show stopper.

"...While the festival didn't sell-out (the second day sold better than the first day) Coachella is being hailed as an overall success for both its treatment of the concert goers and daring variety of music it brought together. Anchored by the campy musings of MORRISSEY, the fun-loving BECK and the near perfect sets by TOOL and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, the music of Coachella had a little something to offer everyone..."

Chris Connelly (Revco, Ministry, etc.) on Morrissey

From dacid:

Through www.chrisconnelly.com there's a message board in which you can talk to Chris and he's very good at responding.

Him being the only other male singer I truly love I asked him: "Hey Chris, You mentioned you like rock poetry which makes me have to ask: What do you think of Morrissey and his lyrics? (I feel he's one of the best and most misunderstood artists - nobody seems to get how tongue-in-cheek his stuff is.)"

To which he responded:

"Right there with you pal, I think Morrissey is a fantastic lyricist, and although everyone knows who he is, I feel he is very overlooked, some of his songs (hairdresser on fire) will make me laugh out loud, whereas some (that joke isn't funny anymore) take me back to being 19 again...."

Pretty cool huh?

Jejune and Lazychain covers

From Glen:

Just to let everyone know, Big Wheel Recreation records has just out out a new 7" with Jejune covering "The Boy With The Thorn In His Side" and Lazychain covering "Handsome Devil". The Jejune cover is surprisingly good, but the Lazychain cover is lackluster. Either way a cool thing to have... check out the bigwheel site.
