Regarding the flawless outfits He is wearing on tour:

HELMUT LANG's "Painter Jeans- Classic Cut" (available with gold, silver or white "spots" print from Fall/Winter 1999/2000 Collection).

GUCCI's smoking jacket (black velvet with silk satin lapels from Fall/Winter 1998/1999 Collection).

no surprises. Even in the mid 80's he was wearing Comme de Garcon coats.

Roy, I’m sure that if you hang around the docks long enough some unsuspecting young sailor will give you his outfit in exchange for something fulfilling....

Dear "bigmouth",
oh please, you must be joking about that "sell out designer slut". Our man's a millionaire! Would you rather have him Bruce Springsteen-like, being a multi-millionaire pretending to still be working-class by wearing lumberjack flanel shirts and worn-out 501's??! Come on.

i recall a time when the most fascinating thing about morrissey WAS morrissey, not his wardrobe. perhaps the lyrics should read..." i would go out tonight but i can't decide which designer outfit to wear......"

bigmouth,
I have to agree with Mat. You dress according to your means. I think its obscene to be rich and go around in rags or an old rusted out car, and it's the same for those poor people who try to look rich (although that's just stupid, because you could be using your little money on necessities, but I digress). And, what's happens to the money these rich people are obviously not spending? It's being horded, absolutely useless, when it could be in circulation, stimulating the economy.

Okay, that's nice, but where did Morrissey get those West Ham shirts??? Or the "Canning Town Sauna Club"? Maybe he made his own iron-on transfers on his home computer.
Does Moz have more than one pair of paint-stained pants? How does Moz (or other artists on tour) get their laundry done? I guess he has to go to the dry cleaners on his day off.
And what brand of toothpaste do you think he uses? Or Deodorant? These are the questions that fascinate me. Why won't some journalist start asking these important questions?????

Helmut Lang is one of the coolest shops to go in. Sometimes I hang out at Peet's Coffee - so that I can watch the guys walk into the Helmut store across the street. I have not seen Morrissey walk in, just yet, but I will keep a flirting eye out for him. I would probably be so strung out from all the great coffee I drink at Peet's that I would fumble over myself. (I think I did my appropriate digs for Peet's, maybe now I can get my raise!!!)

Bosie,

I know for a fact where he got his shirts. He and the rest of the band members got really trashed one night and decided to go on a panty raid. Unfortunatly, they were so drunk that the next morning, they woke up with all these shirts instead. The weird thing is that they still don't know where the shirts came from.

He does his laundry like everyone else. He throws it all in a pile in the middle of his room, and the next morning, he sticks his hand into the pile and what outfit he pulls out is the winner. This gives the other outfits a chance to air out and intermingle, and the smoke and sweat smell from one outfit will transfer to another and therefore won't smell as smokey or sweaty as it did.

Morrissey doesn't use deodorant because he's already sweet smelling. When he is feeling a little stale, he pays a fan $5 to lick him clean.

The passing of time...
Does anyone remember the horrible black and white "vichy" jacket in Hatful of Hollow's sleeve?
I far a lot prefer Mozz wearing Gucci : Bona Drag!

Ah, Morrissey, I long for the days of you in your gold, blue, and red lamee' shirts bought at an outlet store in New Jersey, and the sheer black shirt in the "November..." video (from The Limited, no less).
Bona Drag, indeed.

Bigmouth-

Your speak utter nonsense. Let's see... Morrissey is selling out because he's got more money than he knows what to do with, and so he buys whatever clothes he likes...give me a break, you're just mad because you, like the rest of us, are wearing thiftstore clothes, and wish Morrissey did too!

And Art Martinez...I'll see you in the front in San Fran, I'll see if that coat was worth your life savings! ha-ha-ha!
