Also from Mark Williams:

...this (older) picture appeared in the Guardian Guide last Saturday along with a pithy summary of what England expects from Morrissey these days:

'Bovver wiv Mozzer' John Robinson, Guardian, Nov 6 99

Rum times, these, for the former St Stephen. Without record company, Morrissey nevertheless embarks here on a tour coasting on his reputation as purveyor of salty epigram rather than as a contemporary musical contender. Nothing less like a dame, though. As if becoming stouter to compensate for the flimsiness of his own recent material, the Morrissey live experience is a bit like being hectored by a nightclub doorman in 1961 - a comparison which, as a connoisseur of underworld chic, he would no doubt richly appreciate. Before you open up a world of Daves, youth clubs and 'bovver boys', and, realistically, a fairly lively rockabilly show.

If Morrissey ever realized the key to his oh-so-loneliness is an obnoxious personality, well we would have a terrible musical and lyrical void to fill now wouldn't we?

Morrissey is hardly obnoxious. Not in any single way. To me at least. I guess it is all a matter of opinion. Yet another slandering by the english press.

I like the picture though*l*

Conspicuously "someone" is jealous that a certain "someone" does not live there anymore. 8)

Remember a while back when someone posted a message saying they saw Morrissey at a show and he had the outline of a grey beard and noone believed this person. Looks like they were right! Now don't you feel stupid?

Morrissey keeps getting better looking with each passing year. Just when I thought he may have peaked physically, he goes and becomes even more handsome than before!

I totally agree Morrissey still looks beautiful as always, I don't care what people have to say about his age and his looks, he still looks good!
*thank you to all the people who said great things about moz*

I see Mr. John Robinson has set aside this special time to humiliate himself in public...a little word of advice, that shade of green is not very becoming!

I am just posting to say that I just bought 4 tickets to the Dec. 12 show. Not that I'm bragging or anything.
