Mike's comment is golden. I laughingly agree.

I like Q. I'll by anything with Morrissey's face on it so I guess I'll buy NME this week.

Despite the Moz slagings, its still a pretty cool mag. Each to their own, and all that....

The nme has gone from bad to worse, i used to enjoy reading nonsense about bands that people were listening to, now i get annoyed reading about nonsense bands people are pretending to listen to.

Question, is NME only available in the U.K.? Is there anywhere to buy it from in the states? I don't think that I've ever seen a new copy of it, only back issues at some record shows and music stores.

I've bought it for several years (which is difficult in Germany) but i haven't renewed my subscription for three reasons: 1) the NME became silly, 2) the issues arrived two weeks later and 3) nme.com is enough.

When looking at the results of this poll, you must keep in mind that (according to another one of David's polls) most of the people who frequent this site are North Americans.

Though there may be many people from Britain and other nearby European countries who buy the NME, in America, it's a bit harder to find, especially if you're not in a large city.

I bought it a couple of times when I was back in Greece a few years ago, but according to what I hear from some friends who read it regularly, I don't think I'm missing much!

I have never even heard of NME before? What does it stand for? Never Mind England??? I have never seen it at the news shop?? I read rolling stone, Details and Spin. Some times I read Troy's sisters copy of Vogue. There is nothing like doing some counter intelligence on the weaker sex! Just to know what there thinking. out

Like many users, I am from America. NME can really only be found in specialty record shops in big cities or smaller cities with a vibrant underground music scene (respectively, in New York and, say, Dayton, for example). I check NME.com pretty frequently, just to see the news on musicians.

It's jism. It's a lifestyle accessory for 16 year old girls who need a lifestyle accessory. Pop music would be much better without it. What did a music journalist ever give the world?

To keep in touch with "indie-music-land" - esp in London - NME is the essential bible - along with XFM.
It's a bummer - but it's true.
