Moz & Marr rumours cite reunion & tour

Rumours abound that Morrissey and Johnny Marr may perform together for the first time since 1987 at the Coachella Festival in California on October 9. Morrissey is headlining at the event and Marr is believed to be planning an appearance with Beck, with whom he has been working. Marr has written two guitar parts for Beck’s next album which has fuelled predictions of a performance with the tousel-haired singer at Coachella.

Both are also planning new solo projects – Marr’s The Healers, slated for a February 2000 release, plus a follow up to 1997’s Maladjusted for Morrissey, title and release date to be announced.

Morrissey is also in the process of putting to a DVD retrospective for US release to be called ¡Oye Esteban!, according to an unofficial Morrissey website. The DVD will contain a selection of vintage videos never before shown to the public. Among those that have been unearthed are Seasick, Yet Still Docked.

Yet another unconfirmed rumour puts Morrissey on tour in the UK later this year, but no British dates have been announced. There is however a schedule for an November / December Irish tour, which venues say has been provisionally booked and is being advertised, but which has not been given final confirmation. Those dates are as follows:
