Does this mean that Moz is a regular reader of Morrissey-solo?

This is all very amazing and exiting but: I want El Vez for the German dates, too!

Arrrggh! This is so frustrating. I am going to be in the UK and Ireland while Morrissey plays the US dates, and I will be back in the US by the time he gets to Europe. If he doesn't come back to the States and do some East Coast gigs, well then I will be a very sad lad.

I want to attend all of the Ireland shows however I have to spend an elongated period of time in Enniskellen doing some requisite drudgery on the Grey Cow, himself. Which is closest to Enniskellen; Belfast or Derry?

Chas if you have a chance while in Belfast – go check out “The Irish Toscanini” ‘s tomb – the graveyard is beautiful. In regards to your search for the Grey Ghost - 'He's quite too consummately utter,
As well as too utterly quite.'

Can somebody give me the scoop on SACK? Never heard of them.

(But I did have an El Vez CD before Moz plugged him!)

He said he believes there might be more US dates on a "proper" tour next year. That would be outstanding. I hope he plays a date at the Fountain Arena.

Chas,
You say "Ere thrice the sun done salutation to the dawn." and you claim these words as your own? But I've read well and I'v heard them said
a hundered times maybe less maybe more...
Roy, what is your damage man?? Are you even wet yet?

Joyce and Chas,
What the hell are you two talking about?
This site is dedicated to Morrissey and subjects pertaining to him?? Not a grey cow or a grey ghost or some Irish guy who wishes he was Italian
Got it? If you can't say about something good about Moz, were not interested. OUTTT!!!!!!!

I thought that David Bowie worked with him on Your Arsenal - can anyone confirm that?
As far as 9-1-99 I believe he might be doing a preformance on the Web - I know of a cool new site that is into all of that jazz!!!
By the way to all of the negatives regarding Kill Uncle - I agree it was a lighter album than his other releases - but that does not make it unappealing.

9-1-99? What is up with this day? Is it Moz's birthday or something? What am I missing? And what does it have to do with Ireland.

Mick Ronson produced 'Your Arsenal', and he was Bowie's guitarist in the Ziggy Stardust days, but Bowie himself had no envolvement(other than covering one of the songs off of it).

I think these new dates are great however we all seem to be skimming over the more important question, "Is the man himself, Moz?" If yes, does David T. speak to him, support him, work for him, eat with him, look at him, watch him, touch him - know him???? And if so, does he think Warren is a freak?

Star-Child
- Wed, Aug 25, 1999 at 13:59:29 (PDT) | #16

Our morrissey-solo.com wouldn't be the same without Warren using his behind instead of his brain. Please leave Joyce and Chas, and myself to talk about anything we like, and you can talk about your friends, relatives and "chicks", agreed?

What do you mean the dates are not confirmed? I really hope that he decides to listen to us and makes a stop in Ireland - if so, I bet he plays a rebel song!

Star Child,
Hey you might be on to something???????? Can you Imagine Moz and Bono on the same stage with the Edge and Alain jammin' in the background. I would go absolutely nuts if I was
in that crowd. "Am I buggin you? I don't mean to bug ya, Ok Edge sing the blues......."

Warren
Chespaw - Thu, Aug 26, 1999 at 07:18:13 (PDT) | #32

Hey Warren, maybe if you "pack" and organize your stuff early you will have time to really listen to that Kill Uncle music, again. Or maybe you can just hear it live in Ireland - how soon is now? Oops not for another three weeks or so, how morose.

These Irish Dates are great, I just wish I could be there.. Ok picture this, I am at a club last night, I see this very cute girl dancing to "Boy with a torn in his side." We dance, she takes me home and I wake up at her house and she has the thermostat at 66 f#@$ing degrees (plus she hogged all the blankets and snuggeled with her mutt the whole night) How wierd is that?? However we spooned and she became the girl with a thorn in her back........

I have already planned to buy tickets to the Dublin shows! We are planning to camp out at Spenser Dock to ensure we get great seats!!! Any other interested parties please speak up! By the way, Tom H - what is your deal, man? You misspelled thorn and you went home with a girl you met at the disco? Sounds rather lascivious to me! I hope her back will be alright - geez.

T.H. - no doubt that you were sooo totally warned prior to the episode with the mutt! DO NOT use Ireland to voice your personal frustrations or ineptness. Maybe you should work on your serenading skills and the rest will follow.

agent orange, bear in mind that the ulster shows are in derry and belfast. i do not believe a rebel song would be met with much opposition.

Smart Charlie,
Unfortunatley the sex craving debaucholic vixen I accompanied home last night possesses a somewhat provincial taste in music. Are you suggesting I condescend to the level of Paul Simon, Lauren Hill and George Michaels so that she will be "woo"ooed?

Tom H
Hard at work.............. - Thu, Aug 26, 1999 at 09:54:16 (PDT) | #40

Tom H. - you sound a bit confused to me. Wooooed? I would like to think that if one is attempting to woo another than they would be closely intune to the messages sent by the other. Subtle things are nice, kisses are very sweet and beautiful gifts from the Pacific are always sincere gestures.

Just a note:
El Vez is playing 2 shows at the Mercury Ballroom in NYC September 28th and 29th, and a show in Philadelphia, PA at the Trocadero on October 1st.
Possible secret Moz gigs?

To John in NJ. Are you kidding? You clearly have no idea about the seething tribal tensions that exist between the two communities in Northern Ireland. If Morrissey was stupid/irresponsible enough to sing a rebel song at a neutral venue in Belfast - there is a very real chance that violence would break out in the crowd. The least worst thing that could happen would be that he himself would be bottled off. In which case, he'd certainly deserve it! On second thought, he might just get away with singing a rebel song in Belfast, if he were to drape himself in the Union Jack (a la Finsbury Park).

I think it is kind to reference other topics and dates but please be patient to those of us that are new to solo.com, it is chaotic in here and it is tough to keep up at times. It is actually more fun to rumble up the likes of yourself and your roomie - you guys are getting wildly confused. HA!
