Whilst browsing around our 'booksearch' at work, and typing in the name of my favourite man, I discovered the following for publication on 1st Nov:

Morrissey In Conversation: The Essential Interviews
Paul A. Woods (editor)
ISBN: 0859653943
£14.99

If you type this info into amazon you can see the cover, which looks rather pretty. Depending on the interviews chosen, it should provide fans with more endlessly quotable material.

A review by Mark Hogan of the B-side to Morrissey’s latest single “The Youngest was the Most Loved” was posted on Pitchfork’s website a few weeks ago. He gave it a decent 3.5 stars.

Hogan starts off: “False modesty has always suited Morrissey. Again and again, this charming man makes us believe he's as undesirable as we-- in clammy moments of relapsing adolescence-- fear we truly are. Dapper as ever in tux on the cover of this single, he moans, "If you don't want me/ You don't have to have me" over chase-scene acoustic guitars like those on Vauxhall's "Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself". Typical Moz: "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look at Me" is as good as several tracks on its corresponding album.”

The rest is here.

Walliams completes Channel swim - This is London

...The star said he had entertained himself through the gruelling swim by thinking of pop songs.

He said: "I was thinking about lots of Pet Shop Boys songs, Morrissey song and Abba songs, it helped to calm me down.

Check out these cool cats who really love Morrissey!

A tribute to Morrissey... - Stuff On My Cat

A few SOMC readers have recently sent me emails proclaiming their love for Morrissey, they've also included the following images. What a coincidence that they all were submitted around the same time from different people. On top we have Morrissey the cat with some of her favorite CDs, in the middle Mrs. Bitey shows off her Morrissey setlist and on the bottom we have a nameless kitty with some tunes she can't live without.

Seen at TechDigest - Review: Logic3 i-Station8:

"Uniquely, it also has an LCD panel which displays the song title. However, it only does so up to a limit of 30 characters, and you'd be surprised how many song titles exceed this (Morrissey is a big offender here)."
