Here are Moz's previous Billboard chart highs:

#11 You Are the Quarry
#18 Vauxhall and I
#21 Your Arsenal
#48 Viva Hate
#52 Kill Uncle
#59 Bona Drag
#61 Maladjusted
#66 Southpaw Grammar
#119 Live From Earl's Court
#134 World of Morrissey

From Hits Daily Double: ...followed by several acts grouped together in the 30-40k range, including Sanctuary's Morrissey, Warner Bros.' Flaming Lips, Universal's Blue October and New Century Records' Lacuna Coil, which could very well put them in the teens or low twenties in next week's chart.

Jon Paul Fiorentino's Theory of the Loser Class - Hour.ca - Books

Fiorentino invokes a hoary cast of "losers," including Earle Nelson, a mass murderer hung on the site of the author's previous Winnipeg residence, and many others: He counts "Morrissey, Nancy Sinatra, Hank Williams, William Shatner, William Shakespeare, William Howard Taft, Napoleon, Bob Barker, James Joyce, Dr. Joyce Brothers, Leonard Nimoy, Pete Rose and Sappho" as co-travellers on his loser train.

Following on from the Quarry special two years ago (on the night Moz also played in Dublin Castle - I nearly died with the excitement of it all! ), dublin gay indie club Queer + Alternative are having a Morrissey special on this Friday, 7th April at Temple Bar Music Centre. We have various giveaways including the bonus edition cd/dvd, t-shirts (black with the album cover art - looks great!), badges (small pin ones like the ones we got for the Quarry night, this time featuring Moz's face from the main album cover pic), some stickers(!) and finally a few posters that will be available for stealing :)

The night itself is usually good craic, fun crowd and good mix of classic and modern indie (smiths/moz/kaiser/artics/belle & seb/jam/foos/marylin etc). On Friday there will obviously be more smiths/moz than usual (Any suggestions for what to play off the new album? Or in general for a dancefloor?).

For the first time ever, there is a pre party from 8pm at GUBU, on capel st. Some of the prizes will be on offer there as well as exclusive discount flyers. Music there will be more eclectic - get there early for the sparks Suedehead remix :-)
