There is a small preview os ROTT on Billboard.com. They've obviously got to hear the album as well:

Album highlights include "The Father Who Must Be Killed," which juxtaposes a murderous storyline with an ultra-poppy chorus; the unusual verse chord progression of "On the Streets I Ran" (during which Morrissey mentions his talent for "turning sickness into popular song"); and the seven-minute plus "Life Is a Pigsty," an ominous, uncommonly multifaceted track flecked with the sound of rain and thunder.

Lyrically, Morrissey the storyteller transcends his earthly constraints (opener "I Will See You in Far Off Places"), laments a lost love ("I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero"), pays tribute to "the someone who can soothe me" ("To Me You Are a Work of Art") and celebrates a rebirth, personal or otherwise (the vaguely Western closer "At Last I Am Born").

Excerpt:

then I went to this weird theater and listened to Ringleader of the Tormentors. I sat there and listened to it twice. It was kind of an awkward way to get to know a Morrissey record though.

It's so amazing. Most of the songs are incredible, my favorites were:
"I Will See You in Far Off Places" it sounds Middle Eastern and very heavy.
"Dear God Please Help Me" has beautiful strings by Ennio Morricone,
"Life is a Pigsty" is a 7 and half minute epic.
"At Last I Am Born" reminds me of "Frankly Mr. Shankly" and has awesome talking bits as well as the children's choir... "The Youngest was the Most Loved" had the choir too.
5 different songs have a version of the word "kill" in the lyrics.

The Goat writes:
Andy Rourke has been interviewed by Talk Sport (UK independant radio station 1053/1089am) that will be aired on Sunday 8th January on a show between 10pm -1am Monday morning. Tonight on the same station on the Adrian Durham show (he is a huge fan of The Smiths) they played a small piece from the interview. Durham said that 3/4 of The Smiths will be appearing at the Manchester v Cancer show organised by Rourke - Rourke, Marr and Joyce (though Rourke didn't confirm Joyce would be there).

Asked if there would be a Smiths song played, Andy said 'well, there might be 'How soon is now?' - but dont tell Johnny I said that'.

Why not play 'Oscillate Wildly' as you dont need Morrissey there' was the next question.

'Ha ha, not thought of that, that's an idea!' Rourke replied. When asked if Morrissey would be turning up, the reply was 'I dont think so, we didn't think it was worth asking...'
