Morrissey's official site now states that the Platinum Edition of YATQ will be released in December 2004, pushed back from the previously reported date of 22 November.

Putting to rest much speculation on the anticipated "new" content, the site also reports that the official track-listing (over and above the existing album tracks) will be the nine B-sides released on the already available YATQ singles, plus a DVD (not an enhanced-CD as previously suggested) containing both existing videos for the first two singles, all three live appearances on Craig Kilborn and an extensive back-stage concert photo gallery.

Meaning, of course, that if you've already been a dedicated consumer of all things Moz, you'll already have all the B-sides and the two official promo videos for the singles (you DID purchase the gatefold-version of YATQ with the DVD, right?), but won't have the "new" artwork with the "platinum" (read "silver") background or the three Craig Kilborn live video tracks or the new photo gallery. Is it worth it? Each to their own...

An anonymous person writes:

Tonight on "Bands Reunited" in a behind the scenes show, they showed footage of how they failed to get Moz to participate in a Smiths reunion. They attempted to approach him during the Apollo Theater gig.

Pretty twisted. They showed that guy Ameer trying to ambush Moz on his way to the theater. They waited five hours and Steven just blitzed by them into the side door.

They made no real attempt to approach him assertively and acted surprised that he wouldn't just stop in his tracks and eagerly be interviewed.

They have managed to reunite some really decent bands from the 1980's, but they should have done their homework better for this attempt.

I'm sure they'll replay this "behind the scenes" show a few times. Only current Morrissey footage shows him going in the side door of the Apollo. They also use some footage from Smiths Videos.

The Smiths fail to win C4 'Hall of Fame'. Winner for the 1980's category was Michael Jackson. Does anyone know how many votes the Smiths got?

Maladjustedx sends the link to the Boz Boorer tour diary update:

November 9th - hi
Many apologies for being so lax with the diary!
It was hard to get on line in south america...,
So after the Chicago show we drove up to Milwaukee and the show was good. Had a drink after with some nice folks, one of which had my signiture tattooed on her arm. Also memorable for the Red Sox turning around! Then we drove to Detroit for a show and then on to Nashville. The show was at the famous Ryman Auditorium, steeped in country history, a lovely venue, and an honour to play there. Afterwards we ended up in Leyla's bar the blugrass in where me, Eddie Angel , Gaz and young John Baldwin played a half hour rockabilly set. Even Charlie Browne got up and sang a number! Then we drove overnight to Louisville Kentucky, home of the boxer Mohamed Ali. We had a good show at Tyhe palace Theatre, then we drove to Atlanta - we had a day off and spent the evening at Smith's olde Bar playing pool all night, nice to see Strop and his family there, and Sylvain Sylvain came along too. After a long drive we got to Miami, another day off. Had a few drinks with Tom and Joe, then 2 shows at the Jackie Gleason Theatre. Instead of driving to Fort Worth texas, I hopped on a plane the next day and flew where my good buddy Huelyn Duvall picked me up. I spent all day with him , a very pleasurable day off indeed. I managed to lose my glasses at the Fort Worth show and Huelyn informed me he played there in 1958 with eddie cochran!
cheers

I had Regis and Kelly on and they played the first part of The First of the Gang to Die (right to the part where you hear Moz say "Los Angeles") when they were about to do some trivia game with a wheel and a caller.
