Having just viewed this unofficial Dvd, I would urge fans not to waste money by purchasing it.

It contains absolutely no The Smiths or Morrissey music whatsoever, and is just a complete re-hash of all we have heard before.

The likes of Stephen Street, Craig Gannon, Tony Wilson, Vini Reilly, Paul Morley, Mark Simpson etc, all appear in this insipid chronological 'documentary'....basically repeating their own anecdotes that tenuously link them to the Morrissey bandwagon.

It runs for a tedious 108 minutes, and will provide even the most casual fan with nothing new.

It's cheap and nasty production which attempts to cash in on Morrissey's new found popularity make it definately one to avoid.

Sandie Shaw has been interviewed by the The Daily Telegraph (a right-leaning British broadsheet newspaper). She refers to El Moz in a rather frank interview, as follows:

"In the 1980s, there was an unexpected comeback. She was reinvented with the adoring help of Morrissey and the Smiths as the complicated, deadly Sixties female icon with bottle, class and a great voice who could overcome all obstacles. Morrissey identified with the sullen, feisty look in her eyes, the pain in her voice."

"It was a generous act on his part, helping me at the height of his success. I think he saw in me a kind of tragedy, the way I had it all and then lost it, that he couldn't imagine. He lived it out through me, hoping he wouldn't have to live it for real. I think he's now done a bit of wandering in the wilderness himself. I don't have much contact with him these days. I saw him the other week on the Jonathan Ross show. He looked like a Red Coat. Very unlike him to make a mistake with the symbolism of attire."

I saw Shannon Wright in concert last tuesday. She started alone at the piano and her second song was a beautiful cover of "Asleep", sung with power and emotions. A really great surprise, she's definitely good to hear.

Amongst all the death threats /cancelled gigs nonsense this appeared in the "Top Tips" section of the 25th anniversary edition of Viz - the Adult Humour Comic

MORRISSEY Stop chirping on about the USA and capitalsim when a) you live over there and b) you go on chat shows just to promote your new album you f**cking charlatan

This brought a smile to my face but I think you would need to have seen the comic before to fully understand it's humour

As I was flipping the channels while I was watching the elections on MSNBC, I stumbled across the Laguna Beach show on MTV and they featured a short clip of Morrissey's "First of the Gang to Die". I just thought you guys would like to know.

The Smiths room will be open on Saturday 13th November from 11am-4pm to coincide with the brilliant 'Other Smiths' gig at the Manchester Academy.
The room is fast becoming an essential part of the Smiths/Moz universe, and now has some genuine Morrissey and Smiths artifacts as part of its unique collection!

Mike Joyce, Andy Rourke, Stephen Wright, Joe Moss and Linder Stirling have already lent their valuble support to us and I'm determined to get our man down there at some point too!

We are still collecting photos of fans posed outside the club for display in the room, and welcome any other memorabila you would like to leave here. Thanks to all who have been here over the past few months from all over the world.

As a dedicated Smiths fan, I would like the room to develop and grow over the next few years and reflect how fans feel about arguably one of the greatest bands of all time.
So come on, you've got everything now!
