Morrissey is set to do an interview with the major market radio station WNNX 99X in Atlanta, GA. The station will be having a weekend devoted to the man where they will be giving away ticktes to the Oct. 22nd show and CD's. The one on one interview will be conducted by Steve Craig during his noon retroplex show. This is all if Morrissey is feeling up to it. This station needs to start playing "First Of The Gang To Die" again!

Friday I went to Milwaukee to see The Killers... I saw them open for Morrissey in Chicago and thought I would check them out again... I got there a bit early and got to talking with Brandon [Flowers] of The Killers)... we are not too far off in age and seem to have very similar musical tastes so we talked about that for awhile.

check out www.acarine.com and go to the download pages. There you will find the video for a track called Organ Donor. Acarine are a UK hip hop band and in the track there is the line 'like morrissey around the fountain reeling'. The MC appears in Moz garb circa 83,quiff daffodils and hearing aid... it's quite amusing, Acarine claim to be massive Morrissey fans and even mention him in this month's Front magazine. What next Dre producing the next album???

Tickets for Morrissey’s upcoming tour are selling briskly, so intelligent radio programmers, like Leslie and Jay at 99X, found room for "First of the Gang to Die" this week. If you lived in L.A., you’d know how incredible this song sounds on the air…

Morrissey/The Smiths are featured in the brilliant SHAUN OF THE DEAD ("A romantic comedy. With zombies.")(http://uip.co.uk/romzom/). 26 minutes & 50 seconds into the movie, there is a 2 & a half second clip of PANIC; "Panic on the streets of London..." on a TV screen just when the zombie havoc is starting...

University Challenge had a question on the Smiths, tonight:

"I've been in the house too long, she said, so I naturally fled" is a lyric from which Smiths song?"

Nobody knew, but some fool guessed "Roll It Again."

See, it makes sense to brush up on your Smiths lyrics, because if you lose on University Challenge... Heaven Knows You'll Be Miserable Then!
