Jay Int'l Playboy sends the Boz Boorer tour diary update:

Excerpt:

September 3rd

We had an early start for Reading as we had to do a session for AOL backstage in their tent, which seemed to go well. The gig was a blinder, the weather stayed OK, both the kids seemed to enjoy it. But I did manage to lose my spectacles somewhere.

Another moz story in the The Manchester Evening News. This time an author claims to be getting death threats following his 'warts and all' biography of Moz. A US based fan site is mentioned, but not named...

An anonymous person sends the info from MorrisseyTour.com:

Here’s the update as of September 4, 2004:

Dispelling some rumours:

- He hasn’t been fired from the band.

- He hasn’t quit the band.

- He’s not addicted to cocaine.

What’s going on:

- He’s been unwell.

- His condition is a private matter.

- He is recovering like a champ.

- He will be rejoining the band.

Reliable rumours I can’t confirm:

- Alain was going to rejoin the tour for the current leg, but decided to take more time to recover.

- The tour is not ending in America. More dates will be added, Alain will re-join for them.

The Edinburgh Corn Exchange show has been reviewed in The Sunday Times today, under the predictable headline 'He's Not Miserable Now'. Critic Tom Lappin writes the following (apologies for any typos):

Very good review of the Paisley gig in the Glasgow Sunday Herald - and some great pictures in the review section - including one with Mozza, me and the missus all in the same shot!!!

Quiff and Tell - The Sunday Herald

They’re not quite sure why Morrissey’s here, in Paisley, at the town hall. But they’re sure as hell going to enjoy it. Graeme Virtue joins the adoring throng

The latest issue of Blender Magazine (U.S.) includes a bonus CD entitled: "True Music". The graphic on the cd is a cassette tape with the words, "Listen to this loudly!" scrolled on it. The first track on the CD is Morrissey - I Like You from YATQ.

It was reported in this article: "Morrissey is a knockout" (July 16, 2004, Manchester Evening News) that a signed CD was sent to Brigitte, a French fan who got knocked out at the Move Festival.

A couple weeks ago (Aug. 17) Brigitte sent word that she had not received the CD yet and there was no news from the journalist. I forwarded the message to Morrissey's manager at Sanctuary. Two weeks have gone by and as of Sep. 3, Brigitte has not received any CD, news, or any sort of reply.
