It seems as though music media the world over have been paying close attention to Morrissey-Solo these last few days.

Yesterday nme.com made mention of Morrissey's latest album on their main page, sighting Morrissey-Solo as a reference. Then this morning, on MuchMusic - Canada's version of MTV - as music news was shown at the bottom of the screen throughout video play, the statement: "Morrissey to release comeback album entitled 'You Are The Quarry' according to fansite Morrissey-Solo.com" passed by viewers numerous times.

So finally, it looks as though not only Morrissey, but Morrissey-Solo as well are recieving long overdue world attention! Viva the Quarry!

After years of never mentioning the site they are starting to mention it, but the irony is the credit for the info should go to true-to-you.net as clearly stated.

Alain Whyte was on 6music news about new albums, the report:

Return of the Rusholme Ruffian - BBC 6 Music news, Jan. 8, 2004.

Morrissey's first album for seven years will be called You Are The Quarry. It'll come out on Attack records in April - the first fruit of the deal he signed last year with Sanctuary.

Moz and his band recorded almost thirty songs at Hook End Manor in Oxfordshire with producer Jerry Finn, and they've now been whittled down to the final set.

Guitarist Alan Whyte told 6 Music a few of the unmistakeably Morrissey-esque titles, which include My Life Is A Series Of People Saying Goodbye, Teenage Dad On His Estate, Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice, I Have Forgiven Jesus and How Can Anybody Know How I Feel.

Alan told 6 Music: "It's gonna be a great album. I think the fans will be really really excited. I personally think it's the best Morrissey album to date. It's kind of like a cross between Your Arsenal and Vauxhall and I musically - there's real variety there. There are some slow songs, some uptempo ones and a few real tough-sounding tracks."

...other songs titles were mentioned in the radio interview: "Let Me Kiss You" and "I've Forgiven Jesus".

Similar mentions are on a couple articles at NME.com.

New single by Morrissey in March

Music: Morrissey, former singer of The Smiths, will release the first single from his coming album on the 22nd of March. The last album Maladjusted came in 2000 and according to the distributor Showtime Morrissey was finished in the studio right before christmas. One of the artists fanpages reveals that twentyone new songs have been recorded to be released in April and that the album will be called You are the Quarry. In 2002 Morrissey toured with new songs, but was then without a recordcompany. Last year Morrissey signed a new recorddeal with Sanctuary Records. From April a part of the Sanctuary catalogus will be distributed by BMG and it is still not clear if this will have any effect on the Swedish releasedate.
