Morrissey has asked Sack to be his support band for the forthcoming tour. Sack aren't sure if they can raise enough money to do the tour yet or not.

Also, at the Witness Festival in Ireland last weekend, the lead singer of Pony Club announced at the begining of their set that Morrissey would be appearing with them. Word seemed to spread quickly and before long people were arriving from everywhere, but yet again he didn't appear. That's the second time the great man has failed to appear in Ireland recently. The last time, with Sack last month.

Amazon just sent out e-mails to the people who pre-ordered the possible new album which was estimated to be released on the 23rd of September. They say there won´t be an album. So all of the pre-orders are canceled now.

Anyway, why post an album they don´t know anything about?! Looks like we all have to wait for a longer time. Best wishes to all of you!

The Q&A section of the Mike Joyce site has been updated. First saw this on the discussion board:

Moz the hedgehog by Mike Joyce
Posted By: Cranial Architecture
Date: Monday, 15 July 2002, at 10:21 a.m.

New revelations on Mike Joyce's Q&A board. The erstwhile Smiths skin-slapper lets rip with the following earth-shattering announcements:

If Morrissey was an animal, he would be a hedgehog!

Morrissey's sh*t stinks!

Mike has never heard Morrissey swear!

Mike likes Cheese 'n' Onion crisps!

From the Q&A:

Dear Mike - From Brianna Corrigan in Hull
If each of the Smiths was an animal, what animal would they be?

Dear Brianna Corrigan,
Morrissey: Hedgehog
Johnny: Sperm Whale
Andy: Grebe
Mike: Hoverfly.

Love

Mike

An anonymous person writes:

I'm sure by now every Morrissey fan watches Craig Kilborn's show, well tonight (Tues. show) he announced that in August he will be having David Bowie on the show, but sadly can not contact Morrissey because he has no manager or record deal. He went on to say that in the L.A times paper today there was an article on Moz, true or not I dont know, that he was sited in some watering hole, the name was not given. He then showed a picture of Morrissey from the early ninties era. But it's obvious Kilborn wants The Man on his show pretty bad. I think with the tour on its way, why not. It's great publicity, so anyone who has connections to Mr.Morrissey tell him Craig wants him. Thanks for your time.

The LA Times mention sent in by Ms_diva2000: Morrissey was mentioned in the LA Times "City of Angles" section of the paper:

"Morrissey on Friday night at the Cat and Fiddle in Hollywood."
---
There was also a brief mention on Monday's show. Jonathan Tronson writes: In the first 10 minutes of the show tonight (7/16/02) Kilborn puts up a picture of Moz on his desk and says again he's trying to get Morrissey on the show and if it goes well he'll have "Tuesdays with Morrissey" and then he went on to say that for sure tomorrow they are going to have Buddy Hackett on for Tuesday desk chat.
