As comedian Michael Legge had earlier threatened to do, the 4 rare and unreleased tracks have been made available for download at:

Mrs. Shankly's Secret Website
  • "Striptease With A Difference" (Morrissey/Langer)
  • "Piccadilly Palare" - with extra verses (Morrissey/Armstrong)
  • "Oh Phoney" (Morrissey/Armstrong)
  • "Born To Hang" (Morrissey/Nevin)
I believe all tracks were recorded around 1989-90. Let's all give thanks to Michael for offering to share these tracks he somehow came into possession of and to Mrs. Shankly for encoding and hosting the files. Personally speaking, this is a historic day. I have been waiting 10+ years since "Striptease" was first mentioned in an interview and as for the others, they were rumored every so often and I wasn't even sure they really existed.

In Kileen, Texas a young man killed his mother then himself, the odd part is upon a police search of his room, all that was found was a sheet of paper upon which was written "I never wanted to kill I am not naturally evil"

Is this true? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything about this case.

This is great. This could very well be old news but it's the first time I've seen it.

MOZ FEST!
A second box set of MORRISSEY singles is to be released in September.
Last year, 'Singles Box - Volume 1' documented the release of the former Smiths' singer's solo singles between 1988-91.

Now, 'Volume 2', released on September 17, documents Morrissey's singles from 1991-95. The nine-CD package includes the singles 'My Love Life', 'We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful', 'You're The One For Me Fatty', 'Certain People I Know' and 'The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get', amongst others.

In addition, all the singles feature the original B-sides.

There is an article in the 7.12.01 edition of the Seattle Weekly on The Deftones and Chino Moreno says this about Morrissey...
"I was thinking about Morrissey last night and why I like him so much. The MF'er's smart, man. He comes across as insecure, but he's so cocky at the same time. That's rad. I listen to some songs now that I remember hearing when I was younger and it's like, damn, that's what he was talking about. I just f'ing love music, man."

I don't want to waste too many people's time so I will make this short. Denver has a new club called Lipgloss. The music spans from glam rock, indie, britpop, punk, and anything else that never gets club credit. But the top favorite by far is The Smiths and Morrissey. We would like to see all Smiths and Mozzer fans come out. Our goal, once business gets steady, is to have a huge Smiths/Morrissey night. But until then please come down and enjoy the nights. We love to play requests, and we love The Smiths. If you have any questions please pop by our website.

Goodnight...and Thank you
