  • I think it was the first title for Lifeguard sleeping, girl drowning.

  • I just hope this one is a little more flattering to the profession.

  • what ever happened to the as of yet unreleased track, "Kit"? I heard it played live by Boz and Alain at the Fais do do earlier in the decade. I thought it was amazing.

Was at Amoeba Hollywood last night (after seeing the amazing "Fantastic Mr. Fox" at the Archlight), and came across this bootleg. Just finished listening to it. I will say, I expected the sound quality to be kind of crappy, but every song sounds good! "Lifeguard On Duty" is a gem! I don't know the history of this song, but it would've fit very nicely on a late Smiths b-side. I almost swear that's Rourke playing bass. As for "Happy Lovers United", it's OK. I like the tune, but it almost sounds like a Morrissey impersonator is singing to me. Like when someone is trying too hard to sound like him, with the voice, and the cliche Moz lyrics. I've heard Morrissey fakes online before, so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't him... but maybe I'm wrong... perhaps he was drunk in the studio while recording it. So... I would recommend it to die-hard fans. Wow, "Oh Phoney" is actually a decent song after all!
