Hi chaps, not sure if this is something you guys would be interested in, but we've just run a feature on Total Film about what would happen if Hollywood decided to pillage The Smiths back catalogue for movie ideas. Take a look here and let me know what you think.

  • What a plot. Who came up with that? In my opinion, There is a light is all about a chance in the darkened underpass, and not about a ten ton truck. And certainly not about a ten ton bus and space. Good grief!

  • If any of these were actally to become movies, no matter how good they'd be, I know I'll be laughing the whole time because of the blatant references to the song that inspired it. Some of the ideas are decent but...There Is A Light That Never Goes Out...and space? Come on. I'm rolling on the floor!

    • An amazing film you should definitely see! It is adapted from a book; author John Ajvide Lindqvist is a Morrissey fan, and one of his first books (though unpublished I think) was called "Our Skin, Our Blood, Our Bones", a reference to There's A Place In Hell For Me And My Friends
