  • NOTW is the trashiest UK newspaper you can think of. On an average day it costs 20p. The builders & mechanics who buy it must have thought "It's that faaking Morrissey again, faacking ponce".

On the other hand, my latest removal scaffolding man had some Morrissey CDs in his van. Faaking ponce!

Why would anybody on this bewildering, gross, untrustworthy planet WANT to read (or try to) a review of Morrissey in News of The World OR The Independent?

And lets face it the title 'News of The World' is a bit ironic and prehaps the lowest form of
irony considering it's one focus is the Royle Family's fuckbuddies and celebrities admitting they had 'three in a bed romp and 6 grams of coke with Beckham'.

    NOTW has a point.

As much as I enjoyed seeing the man perform, his setlist was quite poor.

Doesn't anyone in M's posse have the balls to stand up to the man when he decides what the setlist is gonna be?

  • Earls is one of the most trustworthy and reputable music journalists that I know of in 2009. His passion and commitment for music old and especially new is second to none.... that said... I have never ever felt the urge to purchase the NOTW, I'm not being elitist I don't think, it's just that any time I have bought it it has been abs.crap/tittle tattle. I am very disturbed that John Earls is now writing for NOTW - maybe its the recession.

  • I hate how people on here harp about how no one knows Morrissey, he so under the radar blah blah. Especially in England he's as mainstream as they come. I could maybe see it if it was in the US and even here he is somewhat known.
So he's going to be covered in tabloid rags. But enough with the Morrissey is our little secret no one knows about him.

Everytime some celebrity mentions liking him same army of people utterly digusted that someone else likes him.

  • The picture of morrissey, if not retouched, makes him look quite a bit thinner and fit. I saw him on this tour in the US and he did not look anything like that. Did he lose a bunch of weight?
