I attended the No Doubt concert in Houston, Texas last night. Prior to the band appearing, they played a 'mix tape' for their pre-show entertainment which included The Smiths. It was exciting to witness Morrissey and Marr be projected to 17,000 people.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear Panic and Girl Afraid. Other highlights of the ND pre-show music included Girls on Film (Duran Duran), Just Can't Get Enough (Depeche Mode), Boys Don't Cry (The Cure) and Bizarre Love Triangle (New Order). Oh... and the show was awesome too.

  • Nice, but not surprising. Gwen and the band have often mentioned their love of 80's music

Great songs on the mixtape for the pre-show. Too bad the audience then had to be tortured by hearing No Doubt play live.

  • New Order have such an impressive body of work. Get over Bizarre Love Triangle. Yes it's a classic, but so many other gems.
