  • It's essentially a collection of (some quite old) quotes, and any original ideas are woefully underdeveloped (eg, the "soothe an immigrant’s heart" angle is a missed opportunity to extend the metaphor to Morrissey's wider audience). And there really is no excuse to include Chuck Klosterman's loony 2002 SPIN magazine quote “To argue that Morrissey’s contemporary audience skews Hispanic would be inaccurate. Morrissey’s contemporary audience IS Hispanic”, not without a bit of more balanced perspective anyway. And ending the piece with the comments of a Mexican ex-fan who didn't bother to buy Morrissey's last few LPs only compounds the confusion.

OK, DON'T buy the record. But can you please change it?

People with taste love Moz, regardless of nationality or ethnicity. *shrug*

This Rodríguez-Nava joker was just a trendy fan who came and went. He hasn't bought a Moz album in several years??? Couldn't you have found a REAL Moz fan for this article, you lazy journalist?
