In the Sunday Mail(Scottish Tabloid) on 8 Feb, resident music journo Billy Sloan included this snippet in his column:
"Bumped into Johnny Marr in Glasgow last week. He revealed The Smiths have been offered big bucks for a reunion...and he's not ruling it out. He said:"I met up with Morrissey and it was nice." The Smiths at T in the Park?* How great does that sound?"
Read into that what you will.
*T in the Park is an annual outdoor music festival in Scotland.

I get the feeling with the sudden increase in media exposure and the tone of Years of Refusal that Moz is putting the tin hat on some aspects of his life. He will maybe take some time off before returning with a definitively perfect sign off double album (Vauxhall meets The Queen is Dead meets Strangeways meets Everyday is like Sunday on Maudlin Street)including tracks written with both Johnny Marr and Alain Whyte and produced by Stephen Street.
Hey i like the way this is progressing.
Moz will then finally break down the resistance of the target of ' The Never played Symphonies' and will wander off into the sunset years his heart truly at peace.....

"Why? What's the point? Just to satisfy other people's nostalgia? That's all it is - nostalgia! No, I can't see any reason for it; I do not see the point," he barks. "But if anybody does, I'd be delighted to hear it..."
"I don't think there is any [unfinished business]. I really don't," counters Morrissey. "Really, I'm okay by myself which, coincidentally, is the final track on Years of Refusal," he laughs. "And I don't say that to have a dig at anybody else. So, no, I do not see the point of it, it eludes me."..."
