  • Just because you're a 'fan' with Wordpress, it doesn't mean you are capable of being an engaging review.

There are zillions of bloggers and journalists (same thing nowadays) churning out this 'stuff' on an industrial basis. It makes the album seem like just another product in a series. Is it?

This review could have been 'auto-generated' from previous reviews, just as some wags claim the music and lyrics could also have been 'auto-generated' from previous albums.

This conveys enthusiasm, but no real insight or discernment.

Can't the Government do something to stop all these bloggers and 'my-waste-of-spacers'? The Cult Of The Amateur' indeed.

    Next!

  • I appreciate the author's enthusiasm for Morrissey and 'Years of Refusal', and it will be interesting to watch his prediction about the response to the LP. I also like how the author treats Morrissey as a relevant and vital musical figure, not as an object of nostalgia. His turn of phrase is a little cringe-worthy at times, and he also seems to think Morrissey's audience is made up only of 40-year-old men sporting quiffs. And it's hard to read words like 'optimistic' and 'cheerful' in a Morrissey LP review (although the author does use those words cautiously).

A grower that's worth your time, an LP which will be welcomed enthusiastically upon its release. Sounds spot on to me.

  • Seeing as the review said this "two of the stronger tracks here. ‘All You Need Is Me’ and ‘That’s How People Grow Up’". I dont think its much to go on! If they happen to be two of the stronger tracks then this album can only be half baked rubbish!
