"The Killers are to play a one-off London show at the Royal Albert Hall, a venue frontman Brandon flowers has wanted to play since seeing footage of Morrissey performing there.

The Las Vegas band will play the Royal Albert Hall on November 3 in support of their forthcoming new album 'Day and Age' and frontman Brandon Flowers says the venue holds special significance for him.

He said: "Growing up I had a great video of Morrissey playing at the Royal Albert Hall so we're all real excited about it

"I've only ever been on the outside of it. I've never actually been in."

Tickets for the show - which will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1 - go on sale today, priced from £22.50.

Meanwhile, the band are reportedly set to team up with Elton John to record a Christmas single.

The record - not yet recorded - is provisionally titled 'Joseph, Better You Than Me' and will be released in time for the festive season."
