Brandon Flowers Talks Day & Age: Best Killers Disc Ever!!! - Rolling Stone Smoking Section

RS: So, if Sam's Town is about Vegas, what is this one about?

BF: For me it's definitely a continuation. On this one I was thinking more universal. Like, when Morrissey was singing about Manchester, I thought, "I got it." [laughs]. I don't know. Maybe I didn't. I feel like that's the duty, I guess. You're supposed to represent where you're from, and—I'm trying to figure out what that is— I don't know how to do it. I don't know.

  • Methinks Brandon could use some course work on speaking intelligently. He could learn a thing or two from Moz's interview transcripts when finished studying Moz's depictions of Manchester.

  • Morrissey and Marr have been always in touch
and speaking terms, first years after the split
I think i would have been a cold, say what say
    and hang up talks

but along the years I guess the talks are more
    at ease

oh yeah, they had to talk, they were the Smiths,
    plus Rourke and Joyce

Joyce lost his right to speak or even look at
Morrissey for claiming money, that was his right,
and OK, but the amount was a bit laughable though
it happened, and is the point that The Smiths will
never ever be on stage in their original line up

  • Suprised that there isn't any pictures of this meeting. For someone to recognize them and not have a cell phone handy is remarkable.

Glad they were able to enjoy their privacy.
