  • I direct no budget videos for local bands and they always turn out better than this. I wouldn't even release this.

    The set's great, the colours are great, the song is good...and still with major label money and time behind them, they do absolutely nothing at all.

    That's dissapointing. And Morrissey playing the tanbourine offbeat to a song that contains no tambourine? Why? ...... That's ridiculous.

    PS - I LOVE Morrissey....

  • With only a day's notice to film it, it's perfectly understandable that the video is what it is.

    Hopefully when I get my chance to direct a video for Moz, I'll have a bit more notice and be able to go for a more detailed shoot.

  • It is incredible what Patrick O'Dell has done. The video's direction looks like it came from an 11 year old but O'dell is not a child. It has a simplicity that can not be easily achieved. Kind of reminds me of a Gilligan's Island episode with all those nice plants around. Thank you Patrick O'dell for your stunning vision!

  • Nice Job, anyone who has half a brain ( and can think for themself), and especially, to be OBJECTIVE about Morrissey would most certainly agree about the suck i tude of that video..I mean it is beyond comprehension really... a high schooler could do better with their Mac lap top and i movie-

    There at least would have been a shred of irony and a twist of cleverness if the video for the song called "All you need is Me" did not have a single veritable glimpse of Moz?!?!

  • According to the Vice Magazine site, O'Dell admitted that the concept of the video was based on another music video on YouTube that Morrissey wanted it styled after:

    Was it a Sasha Distel video? Perhaps the New York Dolls? Vince Taylor? Perhaps I should be asking O'Dell's mom? Pat nixed the footage of Morrissey pouring a beer during the guitar solo. How Schlitz!

  • Amazingly fun video. I really don't know how Morrissey keeps getting better every year but he does. Looks great, sounds great and cool lyrics what more could you ask for....... 5 more concerts in FL!
