Record stores get their special day - Canada.com "Everyone's got a horror story," says CBC Radio 3 host Grant Lawrence, who also fronts The Smugglers. "There was a store in Vancouver run by five men, total losers, and they had no clue that they were. They made snarky comments. I remember buying a Morrissey shirt and (one of the clerks) called me 'Fag!' at top volume. I'm thinking to myself, it's their merchandise, they're self-sabotaging their own business. Can you imagine going to the Bay, buying a sweater and the cashier going, 'You are an idiot!' Obviously, I've never forgotten that incident -- to the point where our band had a popular song called My Morrissey Shirt."
