Morrissey Announces Six Night London Residency! - Gigwise

by Scott Colothan on 16/11/2007

Morrissey has announced a six night residency at the London Roundhouse for early next year.

The former Smiths man will play at the hallowed Camden venue at the end of January. It will be his first UK stint since his completely sold-out tour in 2006.

Tickets go on general sale from 9am next Friday morning (November 23) and as of yet, there’s no word on exactly how much they will cost. As always, come on to Gigwise to check ticket availability.

Catch Mozza on the following shows:

London Roundhouse – January 21
London Roundhouse - 22
London Roundhouse - 23
London Roundhouse - 25
London Roundhouse - 26
London Roundhouse - 27

  • to all ye of little faith. I knew Moz would return to his motherland to sing again. We're enjoying him here in America. But we know the world is his oyster, and the borders of one country will never confine him.

  • Does anyone, like me, have mixed feelings about these concerts?

I'm a Londoner myself but I would rather he went back into the studio and got on with a new album rather than have us all fork out another (estimate) 35 quid to see him do what will of course be good shows but perhaps we don't really want it yet?

I listen to little else but Moz but something isn't quite right about it.

  • I have it on good authority that Moz will be playing a residency at the Roundhouse in London in January.

Also Tony Visconti's production *is* far better than Jerry Finn's, so I'm disappointed that he won't be producing the new album.

  • Id appreciate any help from my fellow Moz fans on the other side of the Atlantic. I would like to to go to the shows on January 25, 26, and 27 because fianlly my 21st birthday will be Jan 25 and itd be more fun to see Morrissey again then to do the cliche thing and to spend it in Vegas and not remember the trip. I will be coming from Stockton, CA, but will be flying out of San Francisco, CA.

Pretty much I would like to know what airport should I fly into? Know of any cheap hotels/hostels in the area? Are there are any close vegan friendly places to eat too? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My email is [email protected] So if you have the time and you dont mind...please help

Wonder what pathetic little strops will be thrown this time, Perhaps he doesn't give good head after all? No need to pay 40 quid with all the charges to see what has become a bad cabraet act.He is bleeding the suckers dry....make a decent, and I mean decent record Moz rather than taking the punters easy cash.Remember when he slagged of Bowie for not been relevant anymore??????
