This month is the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death. You probably guessed that I’ve been saving something very special just for this occasion! Well here it is:

Read all about the reasons that Morrissey was moved to record “INTERLUDE” and why he chose Siouxsie to be his partner for the duet!

Here’s the address for the new installment.

I’ve just posted the link on my frontpage www.dianamystery.com where you’ll also find an introductory video that may be new to some of you.

I’m telling you: Diana’s death really was foreshadowed in the work of Morrissey!

I’ve got more surprises planned. You’d be shocked at the volume of my research!

With loves, and hates and passions just like mine...
  • I must admit that even before I had knowledge of this guy`s existence, I could never listen to `There Is A Light` without thinking about that tragic event. Especially when it comes from an album entitled `The Queen Is Dead`. In a funny sort of way, Morrissey and Diana have so much in common (though Morrissey wouldn`t like to admit it). I remember when Morrissey recorded `Lost` not long after Di`s death and he sang `Jet trails in the sky, leave one thought behind`. This put me in mind of the plane that left a jet trail in the sky after Di`s death which spelt `we love you`. I`m more than likely wrong, but I like to think that this was Morrissey showing a grudging respect. At the end he sings `don`t make fun of me later, cos I`m just lost`. An apology perhaps? Anyway, I say, the guy might be a crank but he`s doing no one any harm, so let him be! Oh and Ive just remembered the line `a hand slams into sand, a name, and we all understand`. That could be Morrissey refering to Di`s name being etched into the `sands of time.-I`m starting now! I`d best get my coat! Yamaha

  • but not much more, and hopefully not intended to be either. it's like numerology, anything can be arranged into some kind of grid somehow, and sometimes things just fit for no reason. it can be interesting to study and notice little things that coincidentally fit together, but to think that there's some kind of higher importance to those coincidences, is just silly, and that frame of mind frankly kind of scares me.
see the movie "pi" for further reference.

  • My God he's right. Just look at the tracklisting on Ringleader...

"I Will See You in Far Off Places"
France is a far off place (unless you live there)

    "Dear God Please Help Me"
    Diana's last words.

    "You Have Killed Me"
What Diana shouted at the driver after the crash.

"The Youngest Was the Most Loved"
Diana was the youngest and the most loved in her family.

"In the Future When All's Well"
What Dodi said before he died in a vain attempt to cheer Diana up.

"The Father Who Must Be Killed"
    Obviously about Prince Charles

    "Life is a Pigsty"
Diana worked tirelessly for pig charities and sought to improve their terrible living conditions.

"I'll Never Be Anybody's Hero Now"
What the driver said when interviewed by police.

    "On the Streets I Ran"
    Diana was a fanatical jogger.

"To Me You Are a Work of Art"
Diana had her portrait painted on more than one occasion. It is likely Dodi owned a print of one.

"I Just Want to See the Boy Happy"
Diana had concerns over Prince William's difficult teenage years. She would often confide in Dodi over her fears for his future.

    "At Last I am Born"
Children are born in hospitals. Diana was taken to a hospital after the crash.

Will Morrissey ever get over his Diana fixation?

  • Mmm. Yes well, it's all very interesting.
We do live in a world of parallel incidents.
Sometimes we just don't see them all and obviously
it would be very distracting if we did.
I think all this hinges on the obsessive
    and it's quaintly melancholic.
I do feel Diana's death is indeed very sad,
But maybe because I'm not religious and I'm hard headed I can't bring myself to ponder superstitious
    intrigue.......

  • this one is pretty good! if just for the amount of bloody WORK this mustve taken...i took AGES (10 minutes) trying to thing of a clever pun that HADN'T been used in 'THE DIANA-MORRISSEY PHENOMENON'for my subject title and i couldnt so i guess i lose.
some reasons are abit...'clutching at straws' comes to mind (im thinking the Diana Dors reference and 'The Boy With A Thorn In His Side' lyrics) but this is really intersting anyway, thanks!

  • I suppose, if nothing else, this shows just how easy it is to spend your whole life on the internet wasting your time on something utterly irrelevent.

Even if any of this nonsense was true (and I guess most of it is, in the sense that this guy has at least come up with lots of faintly coincidental similarities) it does beg a very obvious question:

    So what?

  • is he saying that Diana's death was predicted by Morrissey and he was trying to tell us (using clues as obscure as the 13th word on the Queen is dead for example) or is he saying that events in the world are inextricably linked?
Either way its nonsense and my advice is to stop wasting your time by researching this drivel.
