Williams, it was really nothing
Robbie Williams is apparently sounding out a host of possible collaborations for his next studio album. Reported in today's Sun newspaper, these include ex-Smiths' bassist Andy Rourke, plus the members of Freebass, his indie 'supergroup' - Peter Hook of New Order and Primal Scream's Mani. Rourke confirmed the possibility of a collaborating with the ex-Take That singer during a Q&A session in London for his new Smiths documentary "Inside The Smiths". The newspaper adds that Williams has also been in contact with Justin Timberlake, Mark Ronson, William Orbit and Soul Mekanik, as well as former songwriting partner Guy Chambers. A 'source' added: "He wants to work with the best from different genres to create a great album.

  • Do NOT do this Andy !!!!

He's the fat dancer from Take That for frell's sake.

I can't believe Mani or Hooky want anything to do with it either.

    Surely a wind up?

  • Robbie had the good sense to team up with Stephen Duffy from the Lilac Time and they wrote some great songs together. And read the book "Feel" - Rob's a good lad you know.

  • remember the permanently irritating little chimp at school who always had to be the class joker and never got enough attention at home? It grew up into Robbie Williams. His 'music' is just a load of cliches strung together. Pointless drivel for 'footy, Friends and Cold Feet' stereotypes. Would Rourke really swoop so low?
