  • Why give him credit for putting on a tshirt? These guys are complete hacks. They are on a Honda tour for gods sakes.

  • Just because he likes Morrissey doesn't change the fact that their music is still terrible.

  • I stumbled accross a further link between Fall Out Boy and Morrissey/The Smiths when reading the latest edition of Q magazine. On p51 of the magazine Fall Out Boy are named (wrongly in my opinion) as the 3rd "Most Exciting Band in the World Right Now", with article author Ben Mitchell stating of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's ambitions:

"When not stepping out with the likes of Lindsay Lohan or Ashlee Simpson, the bassist devotes his energies to hip hop-style empire building, presiding over his own record label, Decaydence, home to kindred spirits Panic! At The Disco, plus Clandestine Industries, a brand encompassing a clothing line, jewellery range and - in the shape of The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, an illustrated account of Wentz's childhood nightmares - vanity publishing.".

So, in light of the link between Wentz and The Boy With The Thorn His Side, and the fact that the chap in the photo wearing the Morrissey t-shirt is not Wentz (though I'm no expert, the photo of the band printed in Q suggests it may be Joe Trohman), it may reasonably be concluded that at least 50% of Fall Out Boy are Morrissey/ Smiths fans and possibly - potentially - influenced by his work. Although from what I've heard of their stuff, any influence to date has been minor...

  • Why does this guy get so much pub? If one didn't know better, you'd think he was the front man....somewhere Bill Wyman, Andy rourke, John Paul Jones, and Paul Simonon are thinking; Mick Jagger, Morrissey, Robert Plant, Joe Strummer, and Mick Jones have nothin' us! We were the real stars, just like the bassist from Fall Out Boy!

  • just because they are young, talented, and good looking you all have to judge.
In my opinion, they are the new Smiths and Pete Wentz is the new Morrissey
    Viva Fall Out Boy!

  • Hey, great! Fall Out Boy have my Honda Civic respect and Honda Civic admiration for their good Honda Civic taste. May they continue to Honda Civically sing their Honda Civic praises on their Honda Civic tour. Best wishes, Honda Civic Fall Out Boys!

  • It isn't about being a jerk or anything to say that Fall Out Boy sucks. They have done nothing intelligent or remotely worth listening to. They look like they should be on the cover of American Idol Magazine. And the only thing cool about their Honda Civic tour is the Honda Civic itself and that isn't saying much. I'm not trying to be an elitist, but if you think Fall Out Boy is a good band then you really should stick to the Paris Hilton web pages and forums because she is on par with these guys.

  • I wore a psychedelic Hendrix shirt because I wanted to look cool. I'm 40 now and even to this day I still know little more than Purple Haze. Does not mean he is a Morrissey admirer just because he wears the tshirt. That's how young people behave.

  • Ok..!! So what if the kid likes Morrissey. Who cares.. just because he is in a band that "sucks" doesn't make us bigger fans.

Why all the shit talking.. we all have the right to be a Morrissey fan. That's the ugly part, some Moz fans think only they can be worthy of being called a "fan". You people make me gag.

Props to everyone who admires Morrissey, no matter who you are.

The only thing is i ain't giving credit to this mofo for wearing his shirt. Ok, high 5 thats it.!

    Carry on..
