It's quite funny, in the last famous French actress Catherine Deneuve movie ("Après Lui" in theatres since few days)you can see a Morrissey poster.

Here is the picture:

  • Swallowneck is convinced that he once chatted to this chick at a Moz gig back in 2004 and he gave her a photo of himself... Who's to say that if the camera pans either to the left or right that she wouldn't have the portrait of our hero on the wall behind her?

    It's possible...

  • I hope they show the film around here, or have it soon in DVD version. I really love Catherine Deneuve. I think that, like Moz, she has an inner depth that exhales from her face, from all the myriads of her subtle facial expression(s).

Have you seen this film, Guillaume? She is sitting alone, with a CD in her hand, probably not Morrissey's, probably his... Morrissey's photo just can't be there "par hasard". There is no apparent or logic connexion between Morrissey and Deneuve, I know. But the photo is irresistibly suggesting a link between both of them to me, and I am dying to see the film to find any connections...

Otherwise, the poster (or scene pick) gives my head a very vivid sense of connexion, since it embodies the two of the three things I mostly love in life - French Movies and Morrissey :)

  • My cousins uncles brothers friend's friend once had a Morrissey poster on his wall. Does that count?

  • From the picture it looked like she was going through a son's old room, maybe that's the case from reviews you can read here:
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0922354/externalreview s

One of the reviews said it was distributed by Fox Searchlight so it should be coming soon...

  • The poster is probably Gael morel's choice (he's the director) or possibly the person in charge with props on the set. I don't think it has anything w catherine deneuve at all. I once spotted her at M&S store on kensigton high street!! she's an amazing actress and this latest movie is another vivid demonstration of her talent as an actresS? This movie apparently is her 100th!!!

  • In first, Deneuve didn't make the movie. Gael Morel is the director. And Gael Morel is a friend of an other french director Christophe Honoré, last film "Les Chansons d'amour", who is a Morrissey's fan. So, I think that the choice to put a Morrissey's poster on the wall come from Gael Morel and not Deneuve.
