  • I went to quite a few gigs in the UK last year and was surprised how strict Morrissey is with his "N0 meat" policy. None of the venues were allowed to sell meat (burgers, hot dogs, sausages) and even the local crew weren't allowed to eat their bacon sandwiches inside the venue. Basically the whole venue had to be meat-free for 24 hours before Morrissey arrived.
All I can do is give my upmost respect to the man and say VIVA MORRISSEY!
    Go veg!

  • Apart from the early fantasies about that window cleaner in Dewsbury, the first man that ever took Swallowneck from behind in a dark passage was a guy called Rex Stevens, who resembled the 1970's racing driver James Hunt...

What has this to do with this news story, I hear you ask. Well, this Rex stud was a vegetarian and Swallowneck thought he was dead sexy... until he discovered he was married with kids!

  • It is SO easy to be a vegetarian these days. But the danger is - at least in England - to eat too much Veg crisps, chocolate and cakes! A fair amount of the food in the UK these days is "suitable for Vegetarians" - but a lot it is still fattening. My favourites are Sainsbury's Veg sausages with beans on toast. Then Pitta bread filled with salad & vegetarian salad cream. Noodles with Chick Peas & tomato & cheese. The List is Endless...
    GO VEG!

  • If you are a poor student, here's a few tips:

    1. "Bean Feast" is a sachet meal which is available in most UK supermarkets. Add half a sachet/bag with boiling water & then a tin of tomatoes = Great pasta sauce!

    2. Get yourself a Sandwich maker (from Argos £19.99!). Buy Brown bead. Great Toastie combinations:
    - Cheese & sliced Tomato.
    - Cheese & chopped Onion.
    - Cheese & beans (Tinned Baked Beans But rinsed from the sauce - use a strainer).

    3. Sandwiches: Banana & Peanut Butter (Very Nice!)

    4. Pitta Bread (65 pence for 6!): Toast it, cut it open and fill it with any soft/boiled veg and lots of salad cream.

  • If Dannii Minogue doesn't eat meat then I'm sorry but Moz can go whistle!

  • I admire Moz a lot for this... I wish more people would think about what they're eating when they put animal flesh into their mouths... why does it seem that so many don't question these cruel practices? I guess they try to shut out any information that might disturb them and prevent them from eating stuff that they find tasty. I don't understand why it is so hard for people to understand that a.) it's possible to live a long, healthy life without ever eating meat and b.) slaughterhouses are unnecessary, cruel and pointless. Why eat another being when you have the option not to, how can anyone justify the masskilling of other creatures just because they enjoy the taste of its flesh? :s
    I can't understand those people.
