  • This would be interesting if Fall Out Boy were actually a decent band. They're unquestionably one of the most horrid, despicable bands to get any kind of air time in years. Their songs are beyond annoying.

  • the top ten reasons why we don't give a damn what Fall-out Boy has to say....about any topic, especially Morrissey.

I mean really, If Moz/Smiths were such a huge influence on you then it would reflect somehow in your soul and definitely in your lyrics and music. These guys are so superficial and sugary and just plain bad....I feel the same with that Good Charlotte guy....there's nothing there!

  • One of the moments is indeed the Smiths, the other 9 is Moz solo. I mean, why is it called "to love THE SMITHS"?

  • Those who love Morrissey and The Smiths evidently have impeccable taste in music. However, such taste is obviously not a guarantee that they will be able to create their own wonderful sound. The trouble with Emo is threefold: 1) the music is pedestrian and contains a grand total of three guitar riffs 2) this wouldn't be so bad (think punk) if the lyrics had something to say, unfortunately there is no irony or poetic invention to temper the "I hate myself and want to die" message behind every single bloody track and 3) the fans are so so predictable. It's not all absolutely terrible (though I struggle to think of a song from any Emo repotoire that I enjoy) but the world could do without a musical movement led by middle class teenagers all painting scars on their arms and dressing in military jackets. Does this attitude make this former 'pop loving goth' turned 'indie girl' a frightful snob?
Besides, I can't help thinking that Fall Out Boy sound like a particularly nasty attack of dihorreah and as such should stop smearing excrement across the airwaves.
Having said all this, I'll happily allow them to talk unmolested about their love of Morrissey; it can only introduce more people to his work.
