Next Friday evening, 2nd March, at 9pm on BBC4 TV, the film documentary, “New York Doll” is scheduled to be aired. It has attracted acclaim far and wide for bringing the story of Arthur Kane, recovering alcoholic, Mormon convert and founding member of 1970s punk band New York Dolls, to the hoi poloi. Morrissey plays a central role, having, as a fan from the start, persuaded the band to reunite for a series of London gigs in 2004.

  • Thanks for the 'heads up'. This is a lovely film. I saw it in Leicester Sq when it was released. Hapy, sad very sad and happy too. Be prepared to shed a tear.
