My friend and I snuck back stage during sound check at the Moz show last night. We found a door on the right balcony that was open so we walked in. We sat an listened while both acts warmed up.
It was still early, and we knew we needed to make a move. So we walked down stairs with confidence; acting like we were supposed to be there. We got to the lobby smiled to the women in the yellow coat and said "hello" as she open the door for us to walk in to the orchestra section. It think her guard was down because we were wearing PRIEST COSTUMES!!
We wandered around and found an empty dressing room. On our way we actually saw Morrissey! He was tacking up Kristen Young's dressing room sign. My friend asked if he could introduce himself and he said "no" and then he walked away. We followed him for a bit, but then retreated to our home base (the empty dressing room) and regrouped.
We remained back stage while Kristen Young was performing. We were able to walk accross the stage behind the back drop and get to Morrissey's dressing room. It had several record covers with various pictures (there were several of Rip Taylor). I timidly knocked and no one answered. The guards looked at us, but we quickly left before they could throw us out. We headed back to the dressing room with our hearts racing.
We thought we would try to see him between the two sets. So we waited and pounced, but our time was up. We were asked for our passes when we were standing at his door for the second time. We hesitated and then they grabbed us by the back of our costumes and forcefully sent us out.
The cops were pretty aggressive. And, I am not kidding, one of the cops told us they had to be aggressive because "Well, after 9/11 you have to be cautious." They walked us through the Sheraton lobby to the other side of the street and told us not to come back or we would be arrested for trespassing. So exciting, so disappointing, and so expensive (since we couldn't see the show our Ebay purchased pit tickets went to waste).
We missed the show, but it sounds like he played the exact show as Thursday. I think the adventure made up for our loss.

Try this.
1.If you really want to meet Morrissey, you had to be more clever.
2.And if you wanted to see him live in concert and be the first in the railing, you had to stay overnight.
(Lets say)
3.You dont have any tickets for the three shows. at all, just STRECH OUT AND WAIT. Hang around for three days and you might even get lucky (MIGHT)
hang around the venue, might get lucky.
