Steve Wright in the afternoon (Thursday 25th January 2007). He talks to several Tribute bands (Rolling Stones, Abba and the Smiths). The interview is with a guy called Graham Samson from the Smyths. The actual interview is around 2 hours and 25 minutes into the show. Worth a listen, just to hear Graham Samson sing his version of "Please, please, please".

You just have to listen to Graham Samson sing his version of "Please, Please, Please". This has to be one of the best tribute bands around. The interview was very good. Glad to know that Steve Wright is still a fan after Morrissey wrote "Hang the DJ" after him.

I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does.
  • You don't need to tape this - Swallowneck will not settle for eighteenth best when he still has the real Morrissey to cling to!

  • Call me cynical but why would anyone be interested in a tribute band dedicated to the Smiths? Would people tolerate a tribute to Jesus? I doubt it .
