BBC2 last night,"Saxondale", Steve Coogan's new character comedy about Tommy Saxondale, ex-roadie with anger management issues and a pest control business cracked a Morrissey joke when speaking about how thin his young assistant Raymond was: "Morrissey could swallow him whole without a stain on his conscience."

  • Every time I see that Rockaplast gig from this year, with Mozzer's grimacing at the crowd and his interest in wearing massive signet rings, always makes me think of Steve Coogan's Paul Calf "Sorry about that, I should have took me ring off before I hit yer"

Saxondale is brilliant! Everyone should watch it!!!

Oh, and noone should read Nuts - Don't mention it again ;)

  • You're admitting to reading "Nuts"? Blimey... ;)

  • You're right - it could have been posted on the forums though, as it's a 'relevant' topic.

Saxondale is class, btw. Coogan just seems to get better and better - at least, on the small screen. His ideas for characters, his quips and mannerisms are just excellent. And he's a Manc too - even better.
