i dont know if anyone has seen this yet, but on girl in a coma's myspace they have a documentary up called this charming hombre. its about morrissey and his growing latin fanbase. the band did not shoot the film but does feature them along with jose from sweet and tender hooligans. its pretty neat. you can see it here www.myspace.com/girlsinacoma

  • Yeah not a documentry, someone said he was born in ireland thouh,thats not correct is it? And at the end they kill Pleae Pleae Me Let Me Get What i want,dont no if there sing in spanish or what but it sounds bad.

  • i like their rendition of please please please, though i do agree the video sound did not come threw so well...so its not giving the song justice...i have seen them play it live here in phoenix and it was a great

  • What a nice way to give back to the Man. I'm sure he enjoyed it. Latinos are now the backbone of the Moz fanbase as the tough kids in the UK were in the 80's. Thank god for them. He should tour extensively in the Southwest of the US. Maybe ROTT will sell more. or Not. Sorry ..not a fan of ROTT as you all know, yet I'm compelled to wish him success.

  • The only thing they have in common with Morrissey is the quiff. It's bizarre the whole 50's style rebellion and their "love" for 80's sulky UK indie. I saw that 'Is it Really So Strange' doc. and I thought it was a joke!

  • Overall, the filmmakers did a great job.

    I did not care for the girl band called Girl in a Coma at all- although there interview segment had credibility.

    Jose Maldonado is a good speaker, but his responses were over-intellectualized. I like his voice, and his mannerisms are a perfect match for Morrissey. He would look so much better with a different haircut.

    This film had a good level of integrity. It was a nice tribute overall.
