According to a post by deathfornoreason on the general board, "The Youngest Was The Most Loved" premiered on VH2 on May 6:
Anyone seen "The Youngest...." video yet? The video for "The Youngest..." premiered (I think.... certainly haven't seen it anywhere else before) on VH2 this morning. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it features Moz, playing the Youngest, in handcuffs being taken to a car by Italian police - played by the band, including Alain. Paparazzi surround the car. Throughout the video, Moz has a constant smile on his face - "A lop-sided grin...." which eventually turns into laughter when he's inside the car. The video is in black and white. It's a great video, certainly one of Morrissey's best. --- Chuckie has made the video available for download in the downloads forum.

But I found the paparazzi very distracting. I think they stole just as more time in front of the cameras, if not more!

i was walking in the sunshine today and thinking of how crap and pretentious and really UNintelligent morrissey has become. i know these words will only annoy the vast majority, but ring true with a minority, so if you want to nod at the screen in agreement at how crap he's become, then read on. otherwise, maybe not.
it's so clear from his new album and equally from you are the quarry that he's lost it lyrically. heavens above, these lyrics are TERRIBLE. what does "living the one true free life born" actually MEAN!? it means nothing at all. it's embarassing bono-esque bullshit. and you can disect practically every lyric on the new album and cringe. it's evidently not very inspired is it? i dont expect the lapdogs to agree, of course. but to anyone who has a brain, you can notice a sharp decline in morrissey's lyrics around southpaw era. i happen to think that lyrically the maladjusted album is miles better than the new stuff.
the father who must be killed is like eminem's 'stan'. it's a terrible story that sounds better in a bad hollywood movie. and why do you want to hear this morbid story over and over again? one listen worthy, methinks.
the album has no continuity lyrically it just flutters around and never really says anything meaningful at any point at all. and i just dont UNDERSTAND the songs...it sounds like nowadays he just wants to sound melodramatic and any words which collectively give off drama he'll use. so 'stepchild' supposedly sounds deep, for instance. it's embarassing. I will see you in far off places? what does that mean? please!!! it's just rhetoric and vapid and bono-filler-territory from start to finish.
moz seems to have lost all sense of self-awareness, particularly since living in LA though i'm not saying the place is the cause, just him living in an ivory tower for years, with an enormous ego shown by the way he has to be critical of every other band ever and he has to be rude about the smiths and moronically bitter. mister "i hold a grudge" morrissey.
done!
